OPERATION
– MUSIC NEEDS TO BE PERFORMED TO BE EXPERIENCED –

CATALOGUING
AND ARCHIVING
A work registered with IMIC adds to the ever growing collection of Icelandic sheet music. Composers register their works themselves and keep all rights, except otherwise agreed upon. IMIC catalogues the works into a database, either for sale or archiving, which is accessible at shop.mic.is.
SELLING
AND HIRING
Preparation of performance material is one of the main factors in our operation. Orchestra and chamber works for more than 13 instruments are for hire only and require us to prepare scores and parts for performers. Works for fewer than 13 instruments are for sale. Scores to orhcestra and chamber works are available for sale or perusal at our webstore, shop.mic.is and by order at itm@mic.is. For parts contact itm@mic.is
PROMOTION OF
ICELANDIC CONTEMPORARY MUSIC AND COMPOSERS
Promotion of Icelandic composers and works in our catalogue is an important factor in getting the works performed. With that goal in mind we promote Icelandic contemporary works worldwide, – with emphasis on our catalogue – in order to reach performers, conductors, programmers and artistic directors.
